My GCSE Maths classes are designed specifically for home-educated learners who benefit from small groups, clear expectations, and expert guidance.
This is not drop-in tuition or short-term exam cramming.
It’s a carefully structured programme focused on steady progress and confidence over time.

What’s included in the class fee
The termly fee includes:
✔ Four structured hours of teaching each week
Lessons balance explanation, guided practice, and exam-style application to support understanding rather than memorisation.
✔ Small, focused teaching groups
Classes are capped at ten students so that misconceptions can be addressed and students are genuinely known.
✔ Expert GCSE Maths teaching
Teaching is informed by 18 years of GCSE Maths experience, with a strong focus on how marks are awarded and where students typically lose them.
✔ Baseline assessment (included)
Before enrolment is finalised, all students complete a baseline assessment to ensure appropriate group placement and effective teaching from the start.
✔ Termly assessment and written feedback
Each term includes a formal assessment, with clear feedback for parents highlighting strengths, priorities, and next steps.
✔ Course materials provided
Following enrolment, students receive:
- a course booklet to support lesson content and independent practice
- a whiteboard and pen pack for use during lessons
These resources are used regularly in teaching to support modelling, retrieval, and active participation.
✔ A calm, consistent learning environment
Regular routines, clear expectations, and a respectful approach to learning — particularly important for students who have previously found Maths stressful.

Why the pricing is structured this way
GCSE Maths is a high-stakes qualification, and teaching it well requires:
- specialist subject knowledge
- careful assessment
- small-group attention
- time for thoughtful feedback
Many families compare this to:
- one-to-one GCSE tutoring (£35–£50 per hour)
- large online classes at a lower hourly rate with limited interaction
This programme sits between those options — offering expert teaching and personal attention, without the cost of regular one-to-one tuition.
Commitment and continuity
Progress in Maths comes from consistency over time.
For that reason:
- places are booked termly
- classes are not pay-as-you-go
- group sizes are carefully managed
This approach supports both learning outcomes and a calm, sustainable experience for students.
A Flexible Approach to Learning
This course is designed to be flexible and responsive to each student’s needs.
While structured as a two-year GCSE programme, many students benefit from taking a longer, more gradual pathway to build confidence and secure understanding.
There is no pressure to “keep up” — progress is based on readiness, not age.
Is this the right fit?
These classes are likely to suit families who:
- value expert GCSE guidance
- want small, focused groups
- appreciate clear assessment and feedback
- are looking for steady progress rather than quick fixes
They may not be the right fit for families seeking:
- very large, low-cost group tuition
- occasional or irregular support
- short-term exam cramming only
My priority is always to do this well, rather than at scale.
Next steps
If you’re interested in classes starting in September 2026, you’re very welcome to register your interest.
Registering interest:
- does not commit you to a place
- allows me to share further details
- ensures you’re contacted before enrolment opens
Choosing GCSE support is a significant decision, particularly when you’re educating outside the school system. My aim is to offer clarity, honesty, and expert guidance — without pressure.
You’re welcome to take your time.
